Description

Punta Popper Urban Nature Reserve is located in the southeastern sector of the city of Río Grande, within the Atlantic Coast Reserve of Tierra del Fuego. The area includes a sector of grasslands typical of the Fuegian steppe and a small medanoso sector within the Patagonian Steppe ecoregion. Punta Popper is an important resting and feeding site for migratory shorebirds, and a nesting area for shorebirds in the grasslands.
